day 19 - best breakup: tallie grey/wes chandar (wellies)

this choice was obvious for me. i can’t even begin to explain what the breakup of these two characters is like for me emotionally. i’ve been a diehard wellies fan for the longest time and it was so painful to see them break up, and i felt especially guilty because of it since my character was part of the plot that caused it to happen. the entire scene was one of the most emotional ones i’ve read in hf so far and i honestly teared up at it. there’s no way not to. i think the betrayal and cheating aspect was such an original idea and it only made this breakup that much harder to go through. i just want to applaud jenny and shar for the beautiful writing they did during this scene, which i’m sure was one of the toughest moments to scene, because the way they brought their characters and those emotions to life is honestly what makes this breakup so tragic. the connection to the characters and how much you know wes and tallie care about each other is just so plain to see in the scene and i still have trouble when bringing myself to re-read it. i just… i need to stop, because i know i could go on forever.

day 11 - a ship you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving: tallie grey/wes chandar (wellies)

okay this is weird considering they’re one of my favorite couples now, LOL but i really didn’t see anything attractive in wellies at first. like, when they first started scening i barely skimmed it and was like “yeah, whatever, like THAT’LL ever happen” because they were in different years and houses and it seemed so unlikely. then i literally ate my words at the masquerade ball when i was addicted to reading them. i loved their witty verbal exchanges and how flirty they could be with each other and how that really added to the ~*build up*~ of when they finally kissed :’) so right afterwards i ran out and re-read every scene they’d done before that and i’ve basically been in love with them ever since. i can’t imagine NOT liking wellies now, they’re just wonderful <3

and i’m haunted
by the lives that i have loved
and actions i have hated
i’m haunted
by the promises i’ve made
and others i have broken
i’m haunted
by the lives that wove the web
inside my haunted head

Day 04 - OTP (one true pairing): TALLIE GREY/WESLEY CHANDAR (WELLIES)

i cannot begin to express my love for this ship. they’ve been the one couple that i have followed every scene without fail and just can’t get enough of! i love how unlikely they were to happen and that they first met ~by chance~. i love how they had to overcome so many shenanigans at the masquerade before they were finally able to have their first kiss. i love how ideal they are for each other with their banter and wittiness and how it always keeps things a little fiesty between them. i love that underneath their teasing you can always see the emotion there, particularly after what tallie went through finding out about her parents and wes reaching out for her and offering her a place to stay. i just adore all these little individual qualities about this ship and i think they just ~fit~ with each other in a way i can’t exactly explain. they’ve got everything from their fieriness to the sensitive times and how they don’t need to say they love each other all the time for them to just ~know~. :’DDDD

Day 06 – Hottest scene: WES/TALLIE IN THE OWLERY

This was a really hard one for me to decide on because I think there are a bunch of ~*hot*~ scenes that involve physical stuff, and I just couldn’t decide between them, so instead I decided to go for one with some verbal sparring and battle of wits which can be just as hot. ;) I remember being so excited to get tags back from Jenny for this scene, and really excited to tag back, as it was Wellies’ first real ~meeting~ and I just loved how charged the scene was. I think the fact that there really was no physical contact made it that much better!

How was it fair that everyone managed to find their happy ending, while she was stuck out here alone because that stupid bloody prick Wesley Chandar couldn’t make up his bloody mind as to whether he was actually interested in her or not?

The Garden

I’m a minuscule addition to your glorified existence
You’re 40 feet tall and I’m less than insignificant

I’ve fallen in lust with a charismatic S.O.B.
You’ve been fueling my flame and I’m drowning in your sea
My fire is burning
But there’s no one to stand in the glow
What’s the use…

What’s the use man, what’s the use?
What’s the use anyway?

“Riley, boys really don’t deserve their privilege of fraternising with the fairer sex. They suck.”

“I couldn’t agree with you more,” Riley said nodding.

He ran his fingers in his hair and swung his legs. “Girls are confusing.”

Wes nodded fervently to Justin’s final statement. “Too right, mate.”
